Channel Deepening Project update - Office of the Environmental Monitor

Channel Deepening Project weekly update 18/07/2008

The Office of the Environmental Monitor (the Office) provides an independent and transparent view on the environmental performance of the Channel Deepening Project.

The Office takes its duty to provide an independent opinion of environmental impacts on the Bay from the Channel Deepening Project seriously and will do this by alerting key decision-makers of any major incidents or breaches.

To do this, the Office monitors the CDP closely to ensure all work undertaken conforms to the Environmental Management Plan, the ‘rule book’ for the Project.

The Weekly Project Update gives stakeholders and the community a snapshot of what dredging works have happened in the past week and what works are planned for the future.

It also details information on the Project’s conformance with set environmental limits and includes progress information on the Project.

Information on the page will be updated weekly or as required.
